We Care About Your Privacy

Protecting Your Phone— and Your Personal Data

Call Control was designed with your security in mind. Our goal is to protect you from dangerous scams, and to dramatically reduce the number of annoying, unwanted calls that reach your phone. Furthermore, we believe that keeping your personal information safe is key to protecting you from scams. Below, we’ll explain exactly what information Call Control may collect with your consent, and how we use this information to protect you from unwanted calls.

Call Control Does Not Store or Share Your Contacts

Sharing your contact list with the Call Control app is optional. We will never store your contacts, or share them with any third party. If you do allow access to your contacts, this will ensure that they are never blocked, and will help us identify legitimate callers to your phone.

We Do Not Sell Your Personal Information

Call Control will never sell your data. We do not share your personally identifiable information or any personal information contained within your device or phone that you send to us (such as name, phone number or email address) with other companies for their commercial use without your consent. Read more about the collection, use, and disclosure of your information in our Privacy Policy.

How We Use Your Information

We maintain extremely high ethical standards surrounding the permissions you grant to us. Some permissions, such as allowing Call Control to read the Caller ID of incoming phone calls, are required for the app to work. Other permissions, such as granting access to contacts, are optional, but greatly enhance the app’s effectiveness. Read more about optional permissions based on use here.

With Call Control, You’re in Control

With Call Control, you decide which calls to block, and which to let through. You can also modify the settings within the app to block or allow certain types of calls, such as political calls or “spoofed” numbers. In addition, you can opt in or out of notifications and status updates, and allow Call Control to allow or block spam text messages (for Android only).

Privacy First, Since Day One

We’ve been helping consumers since 2008 and have been committed to focusing on privacy for our users. While other companies are just joining the privacy movement today, our product was built (and has grown) with privacy as our main focus.
